All shipments are Ex-Factory, Winnenden, Germany. For consumer orders, please contact us for the name and coordinates of a local dealer. For wholesale and dealer orders, please forward your orders to us by email or fax, or directly to Giesser in Germany. Refer to our contact us page for our coordinates. For smaller orders (below $ 1,500 Canadian value), we recommend the Air Parcel Post service as it is the fastest and most economical, and avoids hefty brokerage fees for customs clearance. Please allow for approx. 2-3 weeks for the processing of your order of regular stock merchandise, plus 10 working days for transit time between Europe and main Canadian locations. Please allow 4-6 weeks processing time for any special production orders. For larger shipments, above $ 1,500 Canadian value, we can use a carrier of the customer’s choice, such as TNT, UPS, DHL, or Fed-Ex, but ask our customers to make the necessary arrangements with their custom broker for custom clearance in these case.

Giesser and Smico Inc. are not responsible for any duties, import fees or taxes at border. We will advise you of the shipping date of your order as well as provide you with a tracking number (depending on the carrier) once your order has been shipped.

PROOF OF DELIVERY

Any request for proof of delivery must be made at the factory in Winnenden, Germany in writing within 30 days of invoicing date or notice of shipping date. It is the responsibility of the customer to have their orders insured at all times while in transit. For Parcel Post shipments, please request insurance coverage when placing your orders. For larger shipments, automatic insurance coverage can be negotiated with your forwarder.

DAMAGED MERCHANDISE

All our products are guaranteed against manufacturing defects. If any such defect should become apparent within a reasonable period from date of purchase, we ask you to please contact the Giesser customer service department to make arrangements for the return of said merchandise for inspection or exchange. Our local customer service department at 1-800-717-0437 will provide you with the necessary information to facilitate your claims under warranty.

Our products are not guaranteed against misuse, abuse, or wear and tear through age. Please refer to our care and maintenance information page for additional help on insuring good product performance. You may also find tips and guidelines in the catalog or sales brochures. We ask our customers to contact us in any specific case where warranty issues may need to be clarified.

When receiving your order, please verify all shipping cartons are in good condition and not opened, or damaged in any way. In cases where damage or pilferage has occurred in transit, please make a note on the freight bill if possible, and retain any packaging to assist in your claim. Advise your forwarder immediately in writing.

RETURN POLICY

All purchases are considered as final sales. Any request for product returns must be authorized by Giesser in Germany. Each request or claim will be considered on an individual basis.
